Clinical Coordinator

This position is a Registered Nurse who is accountable to the Director of Nursing for clinical and operations functions of an assigned unit.
The Clinical Coordinator assumes the responsibility of managing the units clinical and operations activities in the absence of the Director.
Key responsibilities include providing direct supervision to RNs, LPSs, MHTs and Unit Secretaries for the adult and/or geriatric units, as well as providing Psychiatric and/or Chemical Dependency nursing services to the adult and/or geriatric population.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in nursing management and be able to support the mission of Piedmont HealthCare as a member of the multidisciplinary team in the provision of high-quality healthcare.
Responsibilities include:
- Providing professional nursing care to patients by utilizing the standards of nursing practice and the nursing process as directed by the American Nurses Association (ANA)
- Organizing, modifying, evaluating, documenting and maintaining the plan of care for behavioral health patients
- Supporting the Director of Nursing in clinical and operations functions of the assigned unit
- Providing direct supervision to RNs, LPSs, MHTs and Unit Secretaries for the adult and/or geriatric units
- Providing Psychiatric and/or Chemical Dependency nursing services to the adult and/or geriatric population
Qualifications:
- Associate Degree or Diploma in Nursing required
- Five (5) years of recent experience in nursing management
- State of Georgia RN License or an Enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact (eNLC)
- American Red Cross or American Heart Association Basic Life Support Course (BLS or BCLS) and Certification
- CPI certification within the first 90 days of employment required
