Job SummaryAs an entry-level Plasma Center Technician at BioLife, you'll receive on-the-job training and work in a fast-paced environment. Your attention to detail will be crucial in screening new and repeat donors, taking and recording vital signs, and ensuring the safety of our team and donors.
Key Responsibilities- Screen new and repeat donors, taking and recording vital signs and finger stick results
- Answer phones and greet donors while ensuring their safety
- Identify operational opportunities for continuous improvement and initiate changes as needed
- Work a variety of shifts, including Saturdays and Sundays, and holidays
- Learn to install, operate, maintain, and troubleshoot plasmapheresis machines
- Ability to walk and/or stand for the entire work shift
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Occasional lifting of materials up to 32 lbs
- Fine motor coordination, depth perception, and ability to hear equipment from a distance
- Prolonged glove wear due to potential exposure to blood-borne pathogens (risk level 1)
