Job Opportunity: Accounts Payable Specialist

Creative Financial Staffing is seeking a skilled Accounts Payable Specialist to join their team in Minnesota.

About the Position:
  • This role involves overseeing the global accounts payable process for all organizational entities, ensuring precise and timely processing of vendor invoices according to established policies and general ledger classifications.
  • The selected candidate will collaborate with management to expedite invoice approvals and resolve related issues promptly.
  • A key aspect of this position is managing the annual tax reporting process for the organization, as well as developing and maintaining weekly cash reconciliations for designated entities.
  • The ideal candidate will have strong technical accounting skills, especially in accounts payable and taxes, and an Associate's degree in Accounting with at least 4 years of relevant experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Take ownership of the global accounts payable process, ensuring accurate and timely processing of vendor invoices.
  • Communicate with vendors, update tax forms, and oversee invoice management.
  • Collaborate with management to expedite invoice approvals and resolve related issues promptly.
  • Manage the annual tax reporting process for the organization.
  • Develop and maintain weekly cash reconciliations for designated entities.
  • Monitor cash flows and provide funding recommendations as needed.
  • Maintain intercompany reconciliations and assist in preparing monthly intercompany invoices.
  • Review and approve Travel and Entertainment expenses monthly, contributing to periodic reporting to management.
  • Collaborate across departments to optimize processes and suggest enhancements to policies.
  • Assist in conducting annual entity audits and participate in budgeting activities as required.

Estimated Salary: $55,000 - $65,000 per year

Requirements:

  • Associate's in Accounting with at least 4 years of relevant experience.
