Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Financial Reporting Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our financial reporting department, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of our financial statements and reports.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and complete financial reports on a timely basis, including monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for certain subsidiaries.
  • Analytically review financial statements and provide financial assistance to product line and subsidiary financial managers.
  • Assist in monitoring accounting changes and ensure they are appropriately addressed in the financial statements of subsidiaries.
  • Respond to inquiries from internal and external clients by providing feedback/documentation regarding internal/external audit matters, and informational and managerial inquiries.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A strong understanding of GAAP and statutory accounting principles as they apply to Securian Financial Group's accounting systems, operations, and financial statements.
  • Knowledge of corporate system policies and procedures.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and SAP accounting products.
  • Strong communication skills to assist in resolving audit questions and providing quality service to business clients.

Salary Information

The estimated base pay range for this job is $45,500 - $84,500 per year, depending on individual experience, skills, knowledge, and other factors.
