raSmith is seeking a highly skilled Structural Engineer to join our Structural Services division. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing and developing structural systems for various building projects.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement structural design documents, calculations, specifications, and construction administration for building projects.
- Design and analyze structural systems, including cast-in-place and post-tensioned concrete, structural steel, masonry, and wood framing for healthcare, commercial, industrial, multi-family residential, mixed-use, and institutional buildings.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project deliverables meet client expectations.
- Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from a U.S. accredited college or university.
- Masters of Science degree in Civil/Structural Engineering from a U.S. accredited college or university is preferred.
- Eight (8) to ten (10) years of structural design experience, including various building systems and materials.
- Professional Engineer Licensure required. Illinois Structural Engineer Licensure preferred.
- Working knowledge of structural analysis and design programs, including RISA 3D and RAM Structural System. Revit experience is a plus.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work independently.
