Job Overview:


The primary responsibility of this role is to ensure that expenditures are made judiciously and in alignment with the organization's objectives.

This involves collaborating with business stakeholders to understand critical purchasing needs and executing exemplary sourcing strategies for the organization. The role requires leading negotiations, managing bidding processes, and overseeing vendor relationships, while ensuring fair and transparent analysis of RFx awards. Additionally, the Buyer III will serve as the main point of contact for the business during the execution of purchase agreements.


Key Responsibilities:
- Authorizes significant purchases with guidance from management.
- Influences business operations by committing the organization to financial obligations for various items, including furniture, IT hardware, software, services, and supplies.
- Conducts all sourcing and purchasing activities with integrity and transparency.
- Awards contracts based on clear, justifiable, and objective criteria.
- Manages sourcing projects to ensure adherence to established policies and procedures.
- Gathers business requirements to achieve both cost-effectiveness and fulfillment of essential needs.
- Independently identifies and qualifies alternative vendors, monitors their performance, and negotiates pricing to meet standards.
- Analyzes vendor trends, market changes, and supplier performance metrics.
- Utilizes benchmarking data to align vendor pricing with industry standards.
- Develops project timelines for sourcing activities to ensure timely RFx award delivery.
- Maintains documentation for sourcing, bidding, and procurement processes, including RFx, Purchase Requisitions, and Purchase Orders.
- Facilitates training sessions to promote understanding of sourcing and procurement processes across the organization.
- Performs analytics and provides key performance indicators (KPIs) to management for review, focusing on sourcing, bidding, and procurement activities.
- Coordinates the delivery of reporting metrics to management.
- Collaborates with team members, business partners, and vendors to ensure that sourcing and procurement efforts align with departmental and organizational goals.
- Organizes quarterly reviews of top vendors with team and management.
- Executes Purchase Agreements and related contract documentation in accordance with procurement policies.
- Acts as the primary resource for sourcing and procurement processes, training, and relationship management for both internal stakeholders and vendors.
- Assists management and team members with projects and process enhancements as needed.
