Job Title: Senior Systems Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Systems Engineer to join our team at the Johns Hopkins Applied Physics Laboratory (APL). As a Senior Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for providing technical leadership and expertise in the development and implementation of complex systems engineering solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain system requirements and architectures
  • Lead system design and integration efforts
  • Conduct system testing and validation
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure system meets customer needs
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, mathematics, physics, or related field
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in systems engineering
  • Strong understanding of systems engineering principles and practices
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Advanced degree in systems engineering or related field
  • Experience with systems engineering tools and methodologies
  • Knowledge of DoD acquisition processes and Navy Strategic Systems programs
  • Ability to obtain a Top Secret security clearance
