BAART Programs, a leading provider of substance abuse treatment services, is seeking a Part-Time Medical Director to lead our OTP Clinic. As a key member of our medical team, you will be responsible for providing patient care, medical evaluation, and training subordinate physician extenders. If you are a board-certified physician with a passion for addiction medicine and a commitment to quality patient care, we encourage you to apply.

Key Responsibilities
  • Medical Director: Initiates, alters, and terminates replacement narcotic therapy medications following strict protocols meeting Federal and state guidelines.
  • Supervises Medication Administration: Oversees the administration and dispensing of medications, ensuring compliance with Federal and state regulations.
  • Patient Care: Provides patient care, including regular review and notes in patient records, according to established CSAT and state guidelines.
  • Staff Supervision: Trains and manages subordinate physician extenders, ensuring they meet Federal and state guidelines.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Interacts with Federal, state, county, and other regulatory bodies to ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.
Requirements
  • Board Certified or Eligible in Addiction Medicine or Family Practice
  • Current SD license
  • Ability to prescribe methadone and buprenorphine
  • At least 1 year of experience in Addiction Medicine
  • Satisfactory drug screen and background check
