Job Title: Part-Time Medical Director

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Medical Director to join our team at BayMark Health Services. As a Medical Director, you will be responsible for leading our Medically Assisted Treatment programs and providing patient care, medical evaluation, and establishing dosing levels.

Responsibilities:
  • Plan and supervise the provision of treatment for patients, ensuring adherence to established CSAT and state guidelines.
  • Sign patient record notes and oversee patient care provided by physician extenders.
  • Admit patients for Methadone and Buprenorphine Treatment and oversee any patient site emergencies.
  • Conduct examinations, obtain medical histories, and refer patients for care elsewhere when indicated.
  • Initiate, alter, and terminate replacement narcotic therapy medications, supervising the administration and dispensing of medications.
  • Confer with patients' private physicians as needed and examine staff after on-the-job accidents or injuries.
  • Provide patient education and serve as a clinic in-service resource.
  • Maintain strict patient, employee, company, and computer confidentiality.
Requirements:
  • Board Certified or Eligible in Addiction Medicine or Family Practice.
  • Current SD license.
  • Ability to prescribe methadone and buprenorphine.
  • At least 1 year of experience in Addiction Medicine.
  • Satisfactory drug screen and background check.
