Business Office Manager

The CommuniCare Family of Companies is seeking a highly skilled Business Office Manager to join our team in Northern West Virginia. This role will be based in one of our facilities and will require travel to support Business Office functions at other locations.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in Business Office Management or Mobile Business Office Management, with a strong understanding of Medicare, Medicaid, and private insurance. They will be responsible for supervising business office support staff, completing weekly BOM Admission Checklists, and conducting root cause analysis on accounts that contribute to bad debt.
Key responsibilities include:
- Completing weekly BOM Admission Checklists and presenting weekly at morning stand-up to reduce exceptions
- Verifying and tying out the midnight census testing for validity and accuracy on a daily basis
- Supervising, organizing, evaluating, and monitoring all business office support staff
- Meeting with resident/responsible parties upon admission and discharge to discuss financial obligations
- Completing and coordinating tasks necessary for timely and accurate billing and collection
The successful candidate will have a college degree in Business Administration, Accounting/Finance, or a related field, and prior supervisory experience and management training. They will be able to make independent decisions, deal tactfully with team members and residents, and use a computer literate with a working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
