About the Position

We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced professional to join our team as an Assistant or Associate Professor of Physics. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching and mentoring students in the Department of Physics, as well as contributing to the development of the Engineering Program.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teach and develop courses in physics and engineering, including introductory and upper-level courses
  • Develop and maintain an active research program, with a focus on undergraduate participation and external funding
  • Contribute to the growth and development of the Engineering Program, including directing the program and supporting student endeavors
  • Collaborate with colleagues to promote diversity, equity, and inclusion in the department and college
Qualifications
  • Ph.D. in Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil engineering, Materials Science, Applied Physics, or a closely-related field
  • Postdoctoral research, industrial experience, and/or prior teaching experience are desirable
