Assistant Professor of Physics

The Department of Physics at St. Olaf College invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track position in Physics at the Assistant or Associate Professor level to begin August 2025.
Responsibilities- Teach engineering and physics courses in a liberal arts setting, including Introduction to Engineering Design and upper-level engineering courses.
- Develop an active, experimental research program suitable for undergraduate participation and external funding.
- Contribute to the growing Engineering Studies program and support student endeavors through internship placement.
Candidates must have earned a Ph.D. in Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil engineering, Materials Science, Applied Physics, or a closely-related field by the start of fall semester.
