The Lending Assistant plays a crucial role in supporting Relationship Managers with the administration of consumer and commercial loan applications, while also delivering exceptional customer service to our existing clientele.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Effectively identify customer needs and proficiently refer additional products across various banking services.
  • Ensure that customer service remains a top priority, treating both clients and colleagues with professionalism and respect.
  • Deliver outstanding customer service by addressing concerns and providing precise and timely information.
  • Gather initial documentation required for loan processing to facilitate timely closings.
  • Handle loan payments, payoffs, and requested draws efficiently.
  • Occasionally follow up on overdue loans and resolve technical exceptions promptly.
  • Order necessary title work, flood searches, UCC searches, and credit reports, and interpret the results effectively.
  • Request collateral valuations from internal or external sources.
  • Compile closed loans to ensure a complete set of documentation and supporting materials.
  • Collaborate with various professionals to assist in document preparation and loan closing processes.
  • Adhere to applicable policies and procedures diligently.
  • Prepare reports for Relationship Managers and management as needed.
  • Assist Customer Service Representatives with the opening and closing of consumer and commercial accounts when required.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • 1-2 years of experience as a Lending Assistant or in a Customer Service Representative role is preferred.

  • Stay updated on regulatory requirements and complete annual compliance training relevant to the position.
  • Possess a basic understanding of accounting processes (debits, credits, balancing).

Physical Requirements:
