Role Summary:
The Lending Assistant plays a crucial role in supporting Relationship Managers with the administration of consumer and commercial loan applications, while also delivering exceptional customer service to our existing clientele.
Key Responsibilities:

- Effectively identify customer needs and proficiently refer additional products across various banking services.
- Ensure that customer service remains a top priority, treating both clients and colleagues with professionalism and respect.
- Deliver outstanding customer service by addressing concerns and providing precise and timely information.
- Gather initial documentation required for loan processing to facilitate timely closings.
- Handle loan payments, payoffs, and requested draws efficiently.
- Occasionally follow up on overdue loans and resolve technical exceptions promptly.
- Order necessary title work, flood searches, UCC searches, and credit reports, and interpret the results effectively.
- Request collateral valuations from internal or external sources.
- Compile closed loans to ensure a complete set of documentation and supporting materials.
- Collaborate with various professionals to assist in document preparation and loan closing processes.
- Adhere to applicable policies and procedures diligently.
- Prepare reports for Relationship Managers and management as needed.
- Assist Customer Service Representatives with the opening and closing of consumer and commercial accounts when required.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- 1-2 years of experience as a Lending Assistant or in a Customer Service Representative role is preferred.
Skills and Expectations:
- Maintain familiarity with and adherence to policies and procedures.
- Support management's objectives positively and professionally.
- Stay updated on regulatory requirements and complete annual compliance training relevant to the position.
- Possess a basic understanding of accounting processes (debits, credits, balancing).

- Work effectively in a fast-paced team environment, managing multiple tasks and prioritizing responsibilities.
- Exhibit attention to detail and organizational skills.

Physical Requirements:
