About This Role

We are seeking a skilled Manager of Real Estate within Carrier's Indirect Supply Chain division. This pivotal role involves both tactical and strategic oversight of real estate operations, ensuring alignment with our facilities and operational needs. The successful candidate will be instrumental in driving efficiency and cost savings across our extensive portfolio, which includes over 1000 facilities totaling more than 40 million square feet across 52 countries.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate all real estate transactions for North & South America, serving as the primary liaison among leadership, business units, real estate partners, and third-party service providers.
  • Monitor productivity metrics for the Global Real Estate team and provide regular reports to senior management in accordance with financial guidelines.
  • Oversee real estate council operations to ensure all transactions exceeding $500K are thoroughly reviewed and submitted for formal funding approval.
  • Manage the capital appropriation request process for real estate transactions in the Americas, ensuring compliance with company policies and alignment with approval protocols.
  • Continuously develop and enhance real estate standards and templates, maintaining an up-to-date real estate website with relevant policies, portfolio data, and team contact information.
  • Act as the administrator for the real estate database, ensuring accurate and efficient data management.
  • Manage relationships with furniture suppliers and oversee the RFP process for global providers.
  • Support acquisition and divestiture initiatives for the global real estate team.
  • Assist the broader Indirect Procurement team with major company initiatives.
  • Oversee real estate provider contracts and purchase orders, ensuring proper invoicing and credit applications.
  • Manage relationships with landlords for leased properties, ensuring accurate setup and modifications as needed.
  • Promote the global adoption of procurement systems.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree with over 10 years of experience in real estate management, transaction oversight, or operations/supply chain related to facilities; or a Master's degree with a minimum of 7 years in corporate real estate management.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Over 10 years of experience leading cross-functional teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to exercise independent judgment to drive strategic initiatives and achieve results.
  • Proven track record of leading teams to successful outcomes through effective leadership and influence.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Strong analytical skills to address complex challenges involving both tangible and intangible factors.
  • Willingness to travel internationally as necessary for due diligence and issue resolution.
