Job Title: Manager, Standards Development

The American Composites Manufacturers Association (ACMA) is seeking a highly skilled professional to manage the development of diverse standards on the properties and performance of Fiber Reinforced Polymer (FRP) composite materials and products.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan, coordinate, and execute standards development committee meetings, ensuring timely completion of tasks and follow-up on action items.
  • Manage multiple standards projects simultaneously, monitoring progress and ensuring timely delivery.
  • Engage stakeholders in the standards development process, facilitating their input and ensuring timely consideration.
  • Actively recruit stakeholders to participate in the standards development process, fostering collaboration and knowledge sharing.
  • Interact with engineers, scientists, and other technical stakeholders, building relationships and ensuring effective communication.
  • Make independent decisions based on knowledge and available information, adhering to industry-accepted project management practices and procedures.
Requirements:
  • Excellent organizational skills, with attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with experience using virtual communication platforms.
  • Proficiency in MS Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and project management software.
  • Ability to balance multiple projects, manage competing priorities, and maintain high-quality documents.
  • Results-oriented, with a can-do attitude and ability to work independently.
Qualifications:
  • 3-5 years of experience in standards/technical or project management, preferably in a STEM field.
  • 4-year college degree, with a strong foundation in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics.
