Job Title: Manager, Standards Development

The American Composites Manufacturers Association (ACMA) is seeking a highly skilled professional to manage the development of standards for Fiber Reinforced Polymer (FRP) composite materials and products. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with stakeholders to further ACMA's standards program goals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan, coordinate, and execute standards development committee meetings, including agenda preparation, meeting materials, and follow-up on action items.
  • Manage multiple standards projects simultaneously, ensuring timely completion and high-quality deliverables.
  • Monitor standards development in other markets and engage stakeholders in the process, ensuring their input is considered in a timely manner.
  • Recruit stakeholders to participate in the standards development process and build relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Interact with engineers, scientists, and other technical stakeholders on a regular basis.
  • Apply industry-accepted project management practices and techniques to ensure successful project outcomes.
Requirements:
  • 3-5 years of experience in standards/technical or project management work.
  • 4-year college degree, preferably in a STEM field.
  • Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to balance multiple projects, work independently, and make decisions based on knowledge and available information.
  • Results-oriented and able to manage multiple projects while maintaining high-quality documents.
