Position Overview:
The Part-Time Marketing Specialist will assist the marketing and communications director in crafting and implementing promotional strategies. This role involves managing social media platforms, producing captivating content, and evaluating performance metrics to drive engagement.
The ideal candidate will possess strong communication abilities and a genuine enthusiasm for marketing.Core Responsibilities:
1. Collaborate in the design and execution of marketing initiatives across various channels, including digital, social media, email, and traditional methods.
2. Develop and schedule engaging content for social media outlets (e.g., Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn).
3. Oversee the creation of marketing collateral such as brochures, flyers, and event signage.
4. Regularly update and maintain the company website with new and relevant content.
5. Monitor and analyze the effectiveness of social media campaigns and report findings.
6. Assist in organizing and promoting events, both virtual and in-person.
7. Provide administrative support to the marketing team as required.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related discipline (or currently pursuing one).
- Demonstrated experience in a marketing capacity or internship.
- Solid understanding of digital marketing and social media platforms.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with marketing tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, Hootsuite).
- Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively within a team.
- Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Creative problem-solving and innovative thinking capabilities.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Google Analytics and content management systems (e.g., WordPress).
- Familiarity with email marketing platforms (e.g., Mailchimp).
- Basic graphic design skills.
Working Hours:
This position is part-time and remote, requiring approximately 20 hours per week.
