PRIMARY ROLE

Deliver exceptional service to patrons at the bar and prepare drink orders for the service team. The mixologist must possess creativity and expertise in cocktail preparation, as well as the ability to inform guests about our offerings and dining philosophy. This role requires a strong sense of hospitality and a commitment to enhancing the guest experience.

Required Qualities:
  • 2-5 years of bartending experience.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Charismatic and articulate.
  • Customer-oriented with outstanding tableside service.
  • Understanding of luxury hospitality.
  • Strong time management abilities.
  • Leadership grounded in a positive business philosophy, with a focus on culture and the implementation of standard operating procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

The Mixologist collaborates with the Bar Director in various capacities, including but not limited to:
  • Assisting the Bar Director in selecting the spirits utilized in the establishment.
  • Providing beverage service during evening hours, aiding guests with selections, and delivering personalized recommendations.
  • Supporting the Bar Director in offering educational resources and tools for the front-of-house staff to enhance their skills and knowledge.
  • Staying informed on emerging trends in the hospitality industry by attending workshops and reviewing professional literature.
  • Delivering world-class service consistently, adhering to the company's standards.
  • Conducting pre-service inventory, including the procurement and organization of spirits and supplies.
  • Managing monthly inventory, processing invoices, and maintaining bar organization.
Service Excellence
  • Ensure guest satisfaction remains at the highest level.
  • Remember names and faces of regular patrons, greeting them personally.
  • Follow established service protocols and effectively communicate the restaurant's concept and philosophy to all guests.
  • Assist management with restaurant opening and closing tasks.
  • Guide guests in their beverage choices with personalized recommendations.
  • Anticipate and respond to guests' needs promptly and respectfully.
  • Support all front-of-house staff in various service aspects.
  • Maintain positive relationships with all suppliers.
  • Possess extensive knowledge of cocktails and their appropriate pairings.
  • Understand the menu intricacies to assist guests with dietary restrictions.
  • Must be capable of lifting 50 lbs.

Essential Functions
  • Prepare and serve beverages according to established recipes and standards.
  • Stock and restock bar areas with alcohol, glassware, ice, and supplies.
  • Be available to work various hours, including weekends.
  • Efficiently service a full bar top, cocktail station, and dining room orders.
  • Safely transport food or beverages to tables in a single trip.
  • Handle liquids frequently, including water, cleaning solutions, and various juices.
  • Effectively use all necessary tools and equipment, including knives and blenders.
  • Communicate effectively to perform job requirements as directed.
  • Multitask calmly in a busy, high-pressure environment.
  • Work in confined, crowded spaces with varying noise and temperature levels.
  • Ability to lift and move weights as required.
  • Stand and walk for the duration of the shift, navigating all areas of the restaurant safely.
Salary Range: $25-27/hour, full-time hourly position
