MIXOLOGIST ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Maintain a vibrant and energetic demeanor throughout the shift.
  • Exhibit strong interpersonal communication skills to warmly greet guests, respond to inquiries, and address concerns.
  • Provide efficient food and beverage service to multiple guests simultaneously.
  • Possess comprehensive knowledge of beverage offerings and specials.
  • Accurately take orders while employing effective sales techniques and product knowledge.
  • Prepare high-quality beverages using proper glassware and garnishes, adhering to company recipes.
  • Demonstrate reliable, punctual, and trustworthy behavior consistently.
  • Deliver exemplary guest service on a regular basis.
  • Accurately operate the POS system.
  • Prepare fruit for drink garnishing.
  • Organize bottles and glasses attractively to facilitate efficient drink preparation and promote beverage sales.
  • Follow all cash handling procedures and guidelines diligently.
  • Comply with all relevant laws and company policies regarding the service of alcoholic beverages.
  • Complete assigned cleaning duties, including stocking and organization.
  • Set up and break down the bar before and after service hours.
MIXOLOGIST SPECIFIC JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILL, AND ABILITY
  • Familiarity with Teamwork and Toast POS systems.
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English for effective communication with guests and coworkers.
  • Proficient verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage stress and work effectively in a fast-paced, loud environment.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to enhance overall guest satisfaction.
  • Extensive knowledge of food and beverage etiquette, guest relations, and service standards.
  • In-depth understanding of standard drink recipes, spirits, wine, and beer.
  • Knowledge of various types of alcohol, glassware, brand names, and garnishes.
  • Familiarity with bar equipment.
  • Understanding of proper food handling practices.
  • Knowledge of bar and kitchen items.
  • Basic mathematical skills.
  • Awareness of daily maintenance and cleaning requirements of the venue.
QUALIFICATION STANDARDS

Education
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
Experience
  • Minimum of two years' experience in a high-volume restaurant/bar environment.
  • Must be at least 21 years old to serve alcoholic beverages.
  • Licenses or Certificates: Food Handlers Card, ABC Service Certification, CPR certification and/or First Aid training preferred.

All employees are required to wear the appropriate uniform and maintain a neat, clean, and well-groomed appearance in accordance with company grooming standards. This policy accommodates religious beliefs, medical conditions, and disabilities.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORKING ENVIRONMENT
  • Ability to work in an environment with elevated temperatures.
  • Capability to move quickly and safely in a confined space without disrupting others.
  • Must be able to lift at least 25 lbs.

Compensation: $16.85/hour + TIPS
