Patient Service Representative

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Patient Service Representative to join our team at Carle Health. As a key member of our patient services team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and support to patients, families, and healthcare providers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide efficient and effective customer service to patients and families, responding to inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
- Collect and enter accurate and up-to-date billing information into the patient accounting system, maximizing revenue and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Assist clinical staff in maintaining accurate and timely medical records, ensuring that patient information is secure and confidential.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with patients, families, and healthcare providers, providing education and support to promote positive health outcomes.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; 1-3 years of customer service experience preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Working knowledge of medical terminology and billing procedures, with the ability to learn and adapt to new systems and technologies.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive patient information with discretion.
