Job Title: Payroll Specialist

We are seeking a detail-oriented Payroll Specialist to manage and process payroll for our organization.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Process payroll on a regular schedule for all employees.
  • Accurately calculate wages, overtime, deductions, and taxes.
  • Manage and maintain payroll records, including new hires, terminations, and employee status changes.
  • Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll, benefits, and deductions.
  • Prepare and distribute payroll reports for management.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal tax regulations.
  • Collaborate with HR and accounting teams to ensure accurate processing of benefits and deductions.
  • Reconcile payroll discrepancies and resolve any issues related to timesheets or compensation.
  • Manage year-end reporting, including W-2s and other tax documents.

Requirements:
  • Proven experience as a Payroll Specialist, Payroll Administrator, or similar role.
  • In-depth understanding of payroll processes, wage laws, and tax regulations.
  • Proficiency in payroll software (Kronos) and MS Excel.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently.
  • Knowledge of accounting principles and general ledger processes is a plus.
