Research Administrator II Coordinator

About the Role:
The Research Administrator II is responsible for coordinating the administrative and financial aspects of all sponsored projects and research-related activities and personnel within their area of responsibility. This role is a key part of the research team at the Children's Hospital of Orange County, and we are seeking a highly skilled and organized individual to join our team.
Responsibilities:
• Coordinate the administrative and financial aspects of all sponsored projects and research-related activities and personnel within area of responsibility.
• Interpret and apply federal regulations and organizational policies and procedures relative to the administration of sponsored projects activities.
• Excellent organizational skills to manage many competing timetables and responsibilities.
• Working knowledge of federal electronic/web-based grant submission process.
• Ability to work independently with excellent interpersonal and team building skills.
Requirements:
• Minimum two (2) years of progressive experience in sponsored research grants and contracts administration, preferably in industry or at a university or nonprofit research institution.
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited university/college or equivalent experience.
• Ability to lift and carry 25-35 lbs, and push/pull 50-100 lbs.
