About the Role:
This position provides an excellent opportunity to transition into a full-time role with benefits. In this fulfilling position, you will play an essential role in promoting the growth and well-being of young children. You will collaborate closely with a Lead Teacher to establish a supportive and stimulating environment for either:
  • 1–2-year-olds: Emphasizing the importance of security, exploration, and discovery through age-appropriate activities and routines.
  • 4–5-year-olds: Assisting children in developing social and language skills, along with foundational learning concepts through interactive play and activities.
Primary Responsibilities:
  • Work in partnership with the Lead Teacher to uphold the classroom schedule and execute suitable lesson plans.
  • Ensure a safe and nurturing atmosphere for children, prioritizing their well-being.
  • Provide personalized attention and support to each child, addressing their individual needs.
  • Maintain records of daily activities and communicate effectively with parents.
  • Keep the classroom space clean and organized.
  • Encourage a love of learning through play and positive interactions.
The Ideal Candidate:
  • Has 2 years of experience working with young children (preferably in the 1-2 years or 3-5 years age range)
  • Possesses CDA or Child Development Associate coursework (a plus)
  • Demonstrates a passion for early childhood education and a commitment to fostering a love of learning
  • Exhibits strong communication and interpersonal skills with both children and adults
  • Can work effectively as part of a team
  • Is creative, enthusiastic, and energetic with a positive demeanor
  • Is CPR and First Aid certified
  • Has three childcare references
  • Possesses a reliable vehicle and a valid driver's license
  • Is willing to fulfill state requirements
