Nursing Education Facilitator

Kansas City Kansas Community College (KCKCC) is seeking a Nursing Education Facilitator to provide high-quality, learner-centered instruction to students enrolled in a Nursing Education program at any KCKCC location. The successful candidate will support the institution's mission, vision, and strategic plan by preparing course syllabi, providing regular reports to students, and implementing learner-centered instruction in both didactic and clinical environments. The ideal candidate will have a Master's or higher degree in Nursing, current licensure as a Registered Nurse in Kansas and Missouri, and a minimum of three years of full-time experience working as a Registered Nurse.
Responsibilities
Prepare course syllabi addressing targeted student abilities, specific competencies, textbook requirements, grading/assessment methodology, course scheduling, and other items as required. Provide regular, timely reports to students of academic performance, including current grades in courses taught. Plan and implement learner-centered instruction in ways that maximize student learning in both the didactic and clinical environments. Utilize assessment techniques to monitor student progress and success as outlined in the department, division, and college assessment plans. Adhere to KCKCC, KSBN, and ACEN established deadlines for submitting reports and records related to student learning and student outcomes. Maintain contemporary knowledge of subject matter taught through professional development activities and/or ongoing clinical practice when not required to be on campus. Integrate available instructional technology to support student learning. Advise and mentor students in collaboration with the nursing advisor. Participate in the accreditation and approval processes for the Nursing Education department. Attend and participate in division meetings, department meetings, in-services, committees, and college-sponsored events.
Requirements
Master's or higher degree in Nursing Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in Kansas and Missouri A minimum of three years of full-time experience working as a Registered Nurse Preferred qualifications include a Master's degree in Nursing Education and/or Certified Nurse Educator, experience teaching didactic content in a nursing program, experience teaching in a simulation laboratory/center, experience teaching online, and experience in learner-centered pedagogy.

Work Schedule
Standard work hours are between the hours of 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Monday-Thursday and 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Must be able to work a variable schedule/hour to meet operational needs. May require evening and weekend hours.
