Position Summary:

The role involves utilizing various metal stamping techniques to guarantee the production of components that adhere to customer specifications, ensuring satisfaction while upholding Brunk's exceptional quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Setup and operate all types of presses as instructed by supervisors or managers.
  • Utilize quality control measuring instruments, computers, and all relevant press operation tools proficiently.
  • Comprehend Quality Control Procedures, basic blueprint interpretation, and possess a solid grasp of shop mathematics.
  • Monitor, assess, and document product quality according to established inspection protocols.
  • Execute jobs at standard rates while maintaining allowable scrap levels.
  • Troubleshoot press equipment or machinery malfunctions effectively.
  • Collaborate with production leads, supervisors, managers, and colleagues at Brunk.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, including floors, presses, carts, tables, and desks.
  • Complete labor tickets and data collection paperwork accurately and promptly.
Qualifications:
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Experience with various measuring tools, including micrometers, calipers, drop indicators, and go/no-go gauges.
  • Safe and effective operation of all stamping machinery, including overhead cranes, forklifts, uncoilers, straighteners, loop control devices, feeders, oilers, and presses (training provided through the Brunk Precision Press Setup Apprenticeship).
Education and Experience:

Minimum educational qualifications may be substituted with relevant experience, competencies, or certifications acquired throughout one’s career.

  • Completion of the Brunk Precision Press Setup Operator apprenticeship program (or equivalent on-the-job experience or similar apprenticeship).
  • High School Diploma or GED Equivalent.
Work Environment and Physical Requirements:
  • Work takes place in a manufacturing environment characterized by noise and occasional grinding dust and fumes. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and push/pull between 100 to 2500 lbs. using carts and moving equipment is required.
  • Protective footwear, safety glasses, gloves, shop shirts, and ear protection must be worn in areas with elevated noise levels.
