EKG Equipment Technician

We are seeking a skilled EKG Equipment Technician to join our team at Asante. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for assisting respiratory care practitioners with equipment cleaning, assembly, and inventory control. You will also acquire 12-lead electrocardiograms on all patient age groups, utilizing your technical skills and knowledge of medical equipment.
Responsibilities- Perform electrocardiograms based on established policies and procedures.
- Use sound clinical judgment and effective problem-solving abilities to implement patient care.
- Communicate data obtained from ECGs to other healthcare team members.
- Assist with equipment maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting.
- Provide excellent customer service and support to patients, visitors, and staff.
- Current enrollment in an accredited 2-year Respiratory Care Practitioner training program is highly preferred.
- Previous experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in a medical equipment or respiratory care role.
- Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider certification by the American Heart Association is required.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks accordingly.
