Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and organize community-based activities to promote healthy ageing and social interaction among seniors.
  • Manage the Alert Alarm System to ensure timely assistance and support for seniors in need.
  • Conduct outreach to seniors living within the service boundary to promote the centre's services and build relationships.
  • Assist in the recruitment and management of volunteers to support befriending activities and other community programs.
  • Support administrative tasks, including report submission and data management.
  • Maintain and update Information and Referral Services records to ensure accurate and timely support for seniors.
  • Provide befriending and buddying services to identified seniors, promoting social connection and emotional support.
  • Assist seniors with tasks such as letter reading and handphone issues, promoting independence and confidence.

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with seniors, volunteers, and centre staff. You will also require strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
