Job Description

**Job Title:** Inventory Manager

**Job Summary:** We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Inventory Manager to join our team at Gem Auto Parts Powered By Parts Authority. As an Inventory Manager, you will be responsible for maintaining a high level of productivity, efficiency, and customer service in our warehouse operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain a high level of productivity, efficiency, and customer service in the warehouse
  • Manage the team responsible for stocking items on the shelves and ensuring the neat and orderly condition of the store
  • Formulate and enforce picking goals for each area/zone of the warehouse
  • Ensure dock-to-stock for most lines within 72 hours
  • Work with purchasing to develop and implement procedures for unloading orders from vendors and stocking them on our shelves
  • Ensure trucks/trailers are efficiently and accurately loaded/unloaded to support the efficient movement of goods and materials to their destinations
  • Work with dispatchers and outbound production team to enhance customer service via delivery vehicles
  • Check in and post orders from hubs and vendors
  • Maintain an accurate count of inventory
  • Assist parts pullers to locate and identify parts
  • Handle damaged deliveries, report damaged merchandise to shippers and vendors
  • Coordinate with store manager and purchasing on inventory updates and replacements
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • 2-4 years of experience as a stock manager
  • Expertise in supply chain, logistics, and time-sensitive distribution
  • Experience with WMS/inventory management system, RF technology, and conveyor technology
  • Ability to multi-task and adjust to dynamic order flow fluctuations as needed
  • Self-starter with the ability to identify areas drifting behind in production and proactively take action to get back on track
  • Experience in tracking metrics, including key performance indicators such as inbound/outbound productivity
  • Knowledge of automotive parts preferred
  • Forklift, Hazmat, and OSHA certifications preferred
  • Clean/valid driver's license preferred
  • Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds, stand/walk for up to 10 hours, able to squat, bend, and reach, able to climb and descend stairs safely (applies to locations with stairs)
  • Ability to work powered equipment (forklift, cherry picker, etc.)
