Job Title: MFM Travel Sonographer

We are seeking a skilled MFM Sonographer to join our team on a travel assignment. As a vital member of our team, you will be responsible for performing sonographic procedures, inspecting and reviewing patient charts, and communicating sonographic findings to physicians.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform sonographic procedures, including fetal echocardiograms and high-risk OB sonography
  • Inspect and review patient charts, reports, lab results, and medical history
  • Create reports to assist physicians with documentation
  • Evaluate sonograms to identify or rule out patient/fetus anomalies
  • Communicate sonographic findings to physicians
  • Provide visual sonographic guidance to complete successful amniocentesis
  • Communicate machine errors or needs to maintain quality machines and imagery
  • Restock sonography rooms with required supplies for sonography performance
  • Cover a variety of clinical settings, including outreach clinics, which may involve extended commute times
Requirements:
  • Graduate of a CAAHEP-accredited educational program in Diagnostic Medical Sonography
  • Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) with an OB/GYN specialty
  • Registered in Fetal Echocardiogram (FE)
  • Currently certified with ARDMS
  • Knowledgeable of human anatomy and medical terminology related to OB/GYN specialty
  • Knowledgeable of applied physics related to ultrasound
  • Compliant with HIPAA as it relates to the use of EMR systems
  • Able to communicate effectively with physicians, clients, and team members
  • Able to remain calm in emergencies or patient distress
Preferred Qualifications:
  • MFM, high-risk OB sonography experience
  • Credentialed in Nuchal Translucency, Nasal Bone, and Cervical Length
  • Bachelor's degree in Sonography or other related fields of study
