Advanced Physical Therapist - Physical Therapy at St. John's Regional Medical CenterIn the role of Advanced Physical Therapist at St. John's Regional Medical Center, now integrated with CommonSpirit Health, you will be instrumental in supporting patients in their journey to recover or maintain their physical well-being following illnesses, injuries, or age-related challenges. Utilizing a variety of therapeutic approaches, you will assist patients in reducing pain, enhancing strength and endurance, improving mobility, and promoting balance to achieve optimal functionality.
Key Responsibilities- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to develop and implement tailored treatment plans for each patient
- Conduct comprehensive initial assessments and ongoing evaluations to monitor patient progress
- Document all treatments provided and note any changes in patient condition
- Adapt treatment strategies to meet the unique needs of each patient, demonstrating creativity and commitment
- Engage in continuous professional development and share knowledge with colleagues
- Provide exceptional care consistently to all patients
- A minimum of two (2) years of clinical experience with a proven ability to work independently and effectively
- Valid California Physical Therapy license (PT Lic)
- Current Basic Life Support Certification from the American Heart Association (AHA BLS)
- Excellent interpersonal skills for effective communication with colleagues, physicians, and patients
- Strong familiarity with departmental practices, procedures, and equipment
- Willingness to participate actively in departmental and organizational initiatives
- Self-motivated with strong organizational and prioritization abilities
- Capable of working independently while also being an effective team collaborator
- Ability to mentor and guide student interns during their clinical training
- Flexibility in managing patient caseloads to support departmental objectives
- Advocate for community services as appropriate
This position is governed by the terms and conditions of the relevant collective bargaining agreement.
