Senior Physical Therapist - Physical Therapy at St. John's Regional Medical CenterIn the role of Senior Physical Therapist at St. John's Regional Medical Center, you will be instrumental in assisting patients in their journey to recover or maintain their physical health following illnesses, injuries, or age-related challenges. Utilizing a variety of treatment methodologies, you will help patients manage pain, build strength and endurance, enhance their range of motion, and improve balance to achieve optimal functionality.
Key Responsibilities- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to develop and implement tailored treatment plans for each patient.
- Perform initial assessments and ongoing evaluations to monitor patient progress.
- Document all treatments provided and note any changes in patient condition.
- Adapt treatment strategies to meet the unique needs of each patient, demonstrating creativity and dedication.
- Engage in continuous professional development and contribute to knowledge sharing within the team.
- Ensure high-quality care is delivered consistently to all patients.
- A minimum of two (2) years of clinical experience with a proven ability to work independently and effectively.
- A valid California Physical Therapy license (PT Lic).
- Current certification in Basic Life Support from the American Heart Association (AHA BLS).
- Strong interpersonal skills for effective communication with colleagues, physicians, and patients.
- Familiarity with standard practices, procedures, and equipment used in the physical therapy department.
- A proactive approach to participating in departmental and hospital initiatives.
- Self-motivated with strong organizational and prioritization skills to achieve results.
- Ability to work independently while also being an effective team member in a collaborative environment.
- Capability to mentor and supervise student interns during their clinical training.
- Flexibility in managing patient caseloads throughout the day to support departmental objectives.
- Advocate for community services as appropriate.
