LPN - Licensed Practical Nurse - Convenient Care

We are seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team at Geisinger ConvenientCare. As an LPN, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care in an ambulatory setting.
Job SummaryGeisinger ConvenientCare is a walk-in clinic that offers quick and convenient healthcare services to patients of all ages. Our clinic provides services for family health care needs, including physicals, immunizations, and treatment for common illnesses.
Responsibilities- Provide primary clinical support to providers, patients, and their families to assist in diagnosis and treatment.
- Follow up on diagnostic testing to ensure completion, accuracy, and filing in the medical record.
- Promote a clean environment and meet qualifications to provide care for patients in specific age ranges.
- Obtain and document patient medical history, chief complaint, vital signs, and provide basic medical data for providers.
- Provide direct clinical care as directed by providers.
- Assist providers in performance of minor surgical diagnostic procedures and ancillary diagnostic examinations.
- Collect and prepare laboratory specimens and complete associated paperwork.
- Execute and document ongoing patient communication, prioritize communication to providers, and respond to patient questions and requests.
- Administer medications and vaccines under the direction of a provider and per scope of practice.
- Clean and set up examination and treatment rooms between cases, ensuring required levels of asepsis and availability of appropriate instruments and equipment.
Geisinger ConvenientCare is a walk-in clinic that provides quick and convenient healthcare services to patients of all ages. Our clinic offers services for family health care needs, including physicals, immunizations, and treatment for common illnesses.
We treat minor health issues that can be resolved in a single visit, including cold and flu symptoms, allergies, earaches, urinary infections, tick removal, sprains, strains, and minor cuts. Care is available to anyone age 1 and older. Convenient Care is open 7 days a week.
