Position Overview
The Labor Operations Business Controls Analyst is essential in overseeing the analysis of labor operations at Variscale Services and Engineering, Inc. (VSEI).
Key Responsibilities
This role carries substantial accountability for managing the collection and evaluation of data, as well as overseeing billing details for partner vendors, including addressing escalations when necessary.
Core Duties
- Maintain regular communication with vendors to review data discrepancies and align on best practices to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Responsible for capturing and managing billing information from vendors, ensuring it is timely and accurate.
- Develop and maintain data models, analyze, and supervise the accuracy of vendor invoicing data.
- Utilize various tools and resources, including HR systems, timecards, and invoicing data, to identify and investigate discrepancies, implementing corrective actions as needed to uphold data integrity.
- Oversee the escalation process, collaborating with stakeholder teams such as Labor Operations, Human Resources, Accounting, and VSEI Executive Staff to promptly and effectively resolve complex issues.
- Organize and manage internal reviews with stakeholders, providing insightful analysis, accurate metrics, and recommendations for process improvement to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness.
Qualifications
- 5-7 years of experience in Accounting or Audit, with specific expertise in contract labor management and business controls.
- Proficient in advanced Excel, including pivot tables, analytics, and database models. Experience with Tableau is required.
- Familiarity with SAP is essential. SQL and Data Warehouse Management experience is preferred. Workday experience is a plus.
- Previous experience working with contract labor vendors in a service technician environment is preferred.
- IT industry experience is beneficial but not mandatory.
