Job SummaryGulf Coast Modifications, LP is seeking a skilled Valve Technician to join our team. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for assembling, testing, and modifying valves to meet the highest standards of quality and safety.Key Responsibilities
  • Assemble and disassemble valves according to shop work instructions and procedures.
  • Identify and obtain necessary components for reassembly and submit material requests to inventory control.
  • Fit and reassemble valves after completion of other production and quality control processes.
  • Perform valve grinding using pneumatic and electric hand grinders.
  • Cross-train in other areas as needed to support team goals.
  • Successfully complete Operator Safety Training of Powered Industrial Equipment Training Course.
  • Work overtime and weekends as required to meet production demands.
Requirements
  • High School or GED required.
  • 2+ years of valve or related mechanical experience.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently.
  • Ability to stand, crouch, and bend for 8-hour shifts.
  • Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs. on occasion.
  • Forklift (sit-down and reach) and crane (overhead) experience preferred.
  • Basic computer skills and ability to work as a team.
