Key Responsibilities:

  1. Maintain and balance accurate financial ledgers.
  2. Track expenditures and manage cash inflows.
  3. Handle accounts payable by reconciling purchase orders with vendor invoices, preparing payments, and monitoring bank balances.
  4. Review and reconcile financial records for franchises.
  5. Manage accounts receivable by processing payments, coordinating bank deposits, and generating financial reports.
  6. Access client accounts to retrieve transaction data and download necessary statements.
  7. Ensure accounts are reconciled and balanced accurately.
  8. Prepare and process payroll for clients.
  9. Calculate and prepare tax returns on a quarterly and monthly basis, including payroll and business taxes.
  10. Generate monthly financial statements, such as cash flow reports, profit and loss statements, trial balances, and balance sheets.
  11. Assist in assembling tax returns.
  12. Contribute positively to team dynamics and overall company success.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required; a degree in accounting is advantageous but not mandatory.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and financial reporting.
  • Proficient knowledge of bookkeeping principles and tax documentation.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • Familiarity with QuickBooks Online (QBO) is preferred.
  • Experience with payroll processing software.
  • Knowledge of filing local tax returns on state platforms is beneficial.
  • Experience working with multiple clients and franchises is a plus.
  • Strong communication skills with a professional demeanor and excellent customer service abilities.
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy, integrity, and confidentiality.
