Job Summary

The Account Manager/Senior Account Manager (AM) is responsible for working with Advisors/Client Executives and Account Executives to service client accounts. This role requires supporting them in day-to-day account management for a specific set of clients and entails a great deal of verbal, electronic and other written communication.

The AM will have responsibility for managing the renewal and marketing process from start to finish, in conjunction with the Account Executives and Advisors. In addition, you will prepare materials for presentations and communications and assist team members with day-to-day client servicing.

This is not a sales/producer role but will support the Producer. The AM takes an active speaking or leadership role in client meetings and maintains relationships with clients and carrier contacts.

This is a full-time role offering the flexibility of a hybrid schedule, working a couple of days a week in our Southampton, NY office and other days from home. We are flexible for a fully remote option for well-experienced candidates, ideally in the NY tri-state area.

Key Responsibilities
  • Works proactively to maintain relationships with carrier and client contacts.
  • May lead client meetings for assigned accounts.
  • The AM will have responsibility for quoting and managing the renewal and marketing process from start to finish, in conjunction with the Sales Leaders.
  • Communicates directly with clients and carriers, in collaboration with the Account Executive or Advisor/Client Executive.
  • Creates and maintains client files in accordance with office procedures.
  • Responsible for keeping client policy records in the agency management system.
  • Will have an assigned book of business for full servicing responsibilities of clients.
Requirements

Excellent written communication skills - writes clearly; edits work for spelling and grammar; varies writing style to meet needs; presents numeric data effectively; able to read and interpret written information.

Self-confident to make sound independent decisions.

Ability to successfully interact with a variety of people/personalities.

Strong leadership skills.

Possess technical expertise plus good analytical and problem-solving skills.

Ability to handle situations in a calm, courteous and professional manner.

Strong attention to detail, decision-making skills and problem resolution.

Fluency with MS Office Suite.

Fluency with AMS 360, EPIC or other agency management system experience required.

Flexibility and adaptability to changing priorities, deadlines and technology.

The base salary range for this position is $50,000 - $110,000. The base salary offered will be determined by factors including, but not limited to, experience, credentials, education, certifications, skill level required for the position, the scope of the position, and geographic location.

Actual base salary offered will be determined on a case-by-case basis. In addition to the base salary, this position may be eligible for performance-based incentives.
