Project Controls Analyst

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Controls Analyst to join our team at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory. As a Project Controls Analyst, you will play a critical role in supporting the National Security Engineering Division's (NSED) Strategic Deterrence (SD) program.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain detailed, resource-loaded schedules to support earned value reporting.
  • Monitor and implement baseline change requests (BCRs) in accordance with programmatic requirements.
  • Collaborate with program team members to obtain, update, review, and analyze monthly schedule status.
  • Access and apply laboratory financial system and data to support program earned value reporting and analysis.
  • Interface with designated counterparts for specific planning and schedule tasks/earned value presentations.
  • Develop and provide on-the-job training for project controls procedures and processes.
  • Ensure integrity of project controls data and compliance with processes and procedures.
Requirements:
  • Ability to secure and maintain a U.S. DOE Q-level security clearance.
  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant functional discipline or equivalent combination of education and related experience.
  • Advanced Earned Value implementation and analysis experience in developing and executing program plans.
  • Advanced knowledge and experience using Primavera P6 and utilizing Excel for financial management.
  • Self-motivated problem solver with excellent analytical skills and ability to work independently.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in overseeing set up and/or leading project controls scheduling functions.
  • Expert knowledge and significant experience using Primavera P6.
  • Significant experience evaluating project performance, conducting trend and forecast analyses, and root cause analysis.

We offer a competitive salary range of $107,550 - $133,524 Annually for the Q01.3 level and $129,030 - $160,188 Annually for the Q01.4 level. Additionally, we provide a comprehensive benefits package, including flexible schedules, education reimbursement, and relocation assistance.
