University of Miami is seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse II to join our Gastroenterology Department. As a key member of our team, you will provide exceptional patient care and contribute to the delivery of high-quality services.
Job Summary:The Registered Nurse II - Gastroenterology Department will be responsible for delivering patient-centered care to individuals with gastrointestinal disorders. You will work closely with our multidisciplinary team to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans. Your expertise will be essential in ensuring the highest level of care and comfort for our patients.
Key Responsibilities:- Assess patients' physical and emotional needs, developing individualized care plans to address their unique requirements.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care coordination and effective communication.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, maintaining accurate records and adhering to regulatory guidelines.
- Provide education and support to patients and their families, promoting health literacy and self-management skills.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives, contributing to the development and implementation of evidence-based practices.
- Current Florida Registered Nurse License
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Certification
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
- Minimum 2 years of nursing experience in a gastroenterology setting
