Staff Registered Nurse Gastroenterology Specialist

The University of Miami is seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our team in the Gastroenterology department. As a Registered Nurse Gastroenterology Staff, you will be responsible for delivering patient-centered care to our patients, working closely with our interdisciplinary team to ensure the highest level of care.
Job Summary:- Deliver high-quality patient care to patients with gastrointestinal disorders
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations of patients' conditions
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians
- Provide education and support to patients and their families
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes
- Assess patients' physical and emotional needs, developing and implementing individualized care plans
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, ensuring accurate and timely delivery
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement evidence-based care practices
- Provide education and support to patients and their families, promoting health literacy and self-management
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes to enhance patient care and outcomes
- Current Florida Registered Nurse License
- 2+ years of experience in Gastroenterology or related field
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
