Job Overview

eTek IT Services, Inc. is seeking an experienced Enterprise Monitoring Solutions Specialist to join our Infrastructure Monitoring team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, build, and manage enterprise monitoring solutions from various vendors.
  • Design, build, and manage tool integrations with ServiceNow and other tools.
  • Write, document, and maintain Python scripts to perform API calls and other essential tasks.
  • Work directly with platform engineers, infrastructure owners, architecture, and management to understand requirements and develop solutions to meet those requirements.
Requirements
  • 5 years of experience in installing, configuring, and supporting monitoring solutions on an enterprise scale.
  • Strong understanding of large-scale applications, network architectures, micro-service architecture, monitoring, and fault management.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with Zenoss, Solarwinds, Openview, or other enterprise monitoring solutions.
  • Python programming experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to work remotely.
  • Excellent communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience managing Microsoft platforms (WMI and/or WinRM, Active Directory, Exchange, Lync, IIS, SQL Server).
  • Experience managing Hypervisors (ESX, Hyper-V, Xen).
  • Experience profiling Web services and transactions (REST, SOAP, XML-RPC, JSON, etc).
  • Administration, configuration, and tuning of Web Servers, App Servers, Database Servers, and Appliance Servers (Load Balancers, SSO, DataPower, etc).
  • Strong multitasking skills.
  • Proficiency in networking technologies, configurations, and concepts.
  • Previous Financial Services experience or knowledge.
