POSITION SUMMARY

The Parts Inside Sales Associate plays a crucial role in generating parts sales from designated accounts while also prospecting for new clients through direct outreach and communication.

EMPLOYMENT DETAILS:

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum of two years of relevant experience or training; equivalent education and experience will be considered.
  • Basic computer skills are required.

CERTIFICATIONS:

  • Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record.
  • Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certifications are preferred.
  • Medium/Heavy Truck Parts Specialist Certification is preferred.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist Parts Outside Sales Associates as needed.
  • Identify and reach out to potential new customers via phone.
  • Communicate parts orders and advise on stock status based on customer requirements.
  • Confirm delivery dates for non-stock items with customers before placing orders.
  • Obtain approval for special pricing from the parts manager.
  • Provide delivery and shipping instructions to the counterperson.
  • Follow up on parts orders to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Coordinate service sales with service personnel.
  • Complete and submit call reports, time sheets, and expense reports.
  • Update customer records as necessary.
  • Participate in required training sessions.
  • Act as a public relations representative for the dealership.
  • Perform basic vehicle maintenance and report any major repair needs.
  • Work collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Maintain a professional appearance.
  • Adhere to health and safety policies to promote a safe workplace culture.
