Role: Dual Licensed Operator (Water and Wastewater)

The Water/Wastewater Operator is responsible for the operation and maintenance of water treatment facilities across multiple locations. This role involves processing and testing equipment to ensure the purification of water meets all permit and operational standards. The Operator is tasked with diagnosing and troubleshooting operational issues, implementing corrective actions based on established procedures and expertise. Responsibilities include monitoring flow meters, gauges, and related controls through instrument panels and programmable logic control units. The Operator will also maintain accurate records of operational conditions and observations in the area shift log, ensuring adherence to process specifications. Any suspected malfunctions or variances must be reported to a supervisor. Routine and preventative maintenance tasks will also be part of the role, along with conducting field laboratory tests (both chemical and physical) to optimize chemical dosages for effective process control. It is essential to uphold all safety and environmental regulations, ensuring strict compliance at all times.

Qualifications

  • Possession of both a Water and Wastewater Operator's License is mandatory for consideration.
  • A valid driver's license is required.
  • A clean driving record is essential.
