WORK OBJECTIVE
As a Wastewater Pumping Systems Technician, you will engage in a range of semi-skilled and skilled technical tasks related to the upkeep and repair of mechanical machinery and equipment at lift stations and water/sewer facilities. This role requires working under limited supervision while exercising independent judgment to determine the most effective methods in accordance with established policies and procedures.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Applicants must possess a high school diploma or equivalent, along with vocational or technical training in mechanical systems, piping, and wastewater pumping systems repair and maintenance. A minimum of one (1) year of relevant experience in the repair and maintenance of wastewater pumping systems is required. Additionally, two (2) years of closely related mechanical and plumbing experience in a non-water utility setting may be considered as a substitute for water utilities experience. A current Wastewater Collections C certification or higher is mandatory, along with a Class B commercial driver's license.
Furthermore, candidates must obtain National Incident Management System (NIMS) certification within one year of employment and maintain a valid Florida driver's license with a satisfactory driving record.

All required licenses and certifications must remain valid throughout employment.
