Per Diem Veterinary Technician

We are seeking a skilled Veterinary Technician to join our Oncology team on a per diem basis. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and support to our clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee appointments and manage client interactions throughout their visit.
- Participate in patient assessment, diagnostics, treatments, and procedures under the guidance of our DVMs.
- Process laboratory samples, including blood, urine, free fluid, and fine needle aspirates.
- Utilize various imaging modalities for patient and procedural assessment.
- Execute, monitor, and recover sedation and anesthetic events.
- Provide empathetic and comfortable care to patients, advocating for their needs during hospitalization.
- Maintain equipment on a per-use basis to ensure patient safety and best practice care.
- Administer chemotherapeutic agents and provide client education on oncology disease processes.
Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a veterinary hospital setting, or recent graduates with an Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Veterinary Technology.
- Comprehensive understanding and experience with anesthetic monitoring.
- Proficiency in processing basic laboratory specimens and radiographic techniques.
- RVT or VTS certification preferred.
- Ability to work collaboratively and develop long-term relationships with colleagues, clients, and community.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills, with a commitment to delivering exceptional client service.
- Current CA RVT license or VACSP required.

Wages:
- Non-Credentialed VACSP: $18 - $23/hr.
- Credentialed technicians: $25-35/hr.
- VTS technicians: $31-40/hr.
