JOB SUMMARY:

The primary responsibility is to safeguard the well-being of patrons utilizing the pool and adjacent areas.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Must be at least 16 years old.

Deliver exceptional guest service to all visitors.

Engage in professional and friendly interactions with guests.

Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Monitor the pool area from designated lifeguard stations to ensure guest safety at all times.

Maintain an alert and upright posture while on duty.

Adhere to all safety and health regulations consistently.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Must possess lifeguard certification; CPR for the professional rescuer; first aid training; experience in a fast-paced setting. *Certification must be obtained prior to employment.

Demonstrate enthusiasm and possess outstanding customer service skills.

Ability to work closely with colleagues in a collaborative environment.

Capable of performing heavy lifting, bending, pushing, and pulling tasks.

Must be able to endure extreme temperatures and other challenging conditions.

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Move efficiently throughout the pool area as required during shifts, regardless of temperature extremes.

Maintain the physical stamina and mental composure necessary to perform under pressure and handle emergency situations.

Assess situations and execute rescue techniques in accordance with American Red Cross standards; proficiency in sidestroke, crawl, or breaststroke is required.

PHYSICAL, MENTAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS:

Must be able to lift between 50-75 lbs. Stand and navigate throughout the pool area as needed during assigned shifts efficiently, regardless of temperature conditions. Maintain the physical stamina and mental focus to perform under pressure and respond to emergencies. Evaluate situations and implement rescue skills as per American Red Cross guidelines. Must be capable of swimming 500 meters continuously using one or more strokes, including sidestroke, crawl, or backstroke. Must be able to lift lounge chairs and maneuver towel carts during shifts. Maintain the physical stamina and mental clarity to perform under pressure and manage emergency situations. Respond to visual and auditory signals. Must be proficient in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding English. Availability to work weekends and holidays is required.
