The primary responsibility is to safeguard guests while they enjoy the pool and its adjacent areas.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

- Minimum age requirement is 16 years.

- Deliver exceptional guest service to all patrons.

- Engage in professional and friendly conversations with guests.

- Adapt to a fast-paced work environment.

- Work both independently and collaboratively within a team.

- Monitor the pool area from designated lifeguard stands to ensure guest safety at all times.

- Maintain an alert and upright posture while on duty.

- Adhere to all safety and health regulations consistently.

QUALIFICATIONS:

- Must possess lifeguard certification, CPR for the professional rescuer, and first aid training; certification must be obtained prior to employment.

- Exhibit enthusiasm and outstanding customer service skills.

- Ability to thrive in a close-knit environment with continuous interaction with colleagues.

- Physical capability to perform heavy lifting, bending, pushing, and pulling tasks.

- Tolerance for extreme temperatures and other challenging conditions.

- Capacity to lift up to 50 lbs.

- Required to stand and move efficiently throughout the pool area as needed, regardless of temperature extremes.

- Maintain the physical stamina and mental resilience to perform under pressure and handle emergency situations effectively.

- Assess situations and execute rescue techniques in line with American Red Cross guidelines; proficiency in sidestroke, crawl, or breaststroke is essential.

PHYSICAL, MENTAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS:

- Must be able to lift between 50-75 lbs. and remain mobile throughout the pool area during assigned shifts.

- Sustain physical stamina and a positive mental attitude to perform under pressure and manage emergencies.

- Must be able to swim 500 meters continuously using one or more strokes, including sidestroke, crawl, or backstroke.

- Capable of lifting lounge chairs and moving towel carts as required during shifts.

- Must respond to visual and auditory signals and possess the ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.

- Availability to work on weekends and holidays is necessary.
