About the Role

Connections Health Solutions is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Mental Health Support Specialist to join our team. As a Behavioral Health Specialist, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and well-being of individuals in crisis.

Job Summary

The Mental Health Support Specialist will manage and maintain the safety of individuals and staff on our unit. Key responsibilities include conducting security screenings, providing exceptional customer service, and documenting services provided in the Electronic Health Record (EHR). Additionally, this role involves intervening with escalated individuals using therapeutic techniques, performing restraints/seclusions when necessary, and assisting with activities of daily living.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct security screenings and inventories of individual property upon admission
  • Provide orientation to the Observation Unit and Short-term Inpatient Unit
  • Document services provided and significant interactions in the EHR
  • Intervene with escalated individuals using therapeutic techniques for de-escalation
  • Lift, move, and transport individuals using proper body mechanics or lifting devices
  • Assist individuals with activities of daily living, including eating, bathing, dressing, toileting, and transferring
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • At least 2 years of behavioral health experience
  • Able to perform Safe Clinch patient restraint techniques
  • Arizona Level I Fingerprint Clearance Card
