This role has been designed as an onsite position with an expectation that you will primarily work from an HPE office. As a Senior Electrical Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, modifying, evaluating electronic components, circuits, firmware, software for electronic equipment. You will assess equipment to establish operating data, conduct experimental tests, and evaluate results. You will select components and equipment based on analysis specifications and reliability. You will apply advanced subject matter knowledge to complex business issues and be regarded as a subject matter expert. You will frequently contribute to the development of new ideas and methods. You will work on complex problems/projects where assessment of situations or data requires in-depth evaluation of multiple factors.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, assess, develop, modify, and evaluate electrical/electronic parts, components, sub-systems, algorithms, or integrated circuitry for electrical/electronic equipment and other hardware systems.
  • Conduct feasibility studies, design margin, and validation analyses and empirical testing on new and modified designs.
  • Assist in architecture development and assessment.
  • Evaluate the reliability of materials, properties, designs, and techniques used in production.
  • May directly support personnel in the preparation of detailed design, design testing, and prototype.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • 10 or more years of experience.
  • Experience in overall architecture of electronic hardware for products and solutions.
  • Designing and integrating electronic components, integrated circuitry, and algorithms into overall architecture.
  • Evaluating and proposing forms of empirical assessment, modeling, and testing methodologies to validate component, circuit, and hardware designs and thermal/emissions management.
  • Ability to effectively communicate product architectures, design proposals, and negotiate options at senior management levels.
