POSITION OVERVIEW:

The roles within food preparation and cooking are crucial for executing recipes and procedures consistently, ensuring exceptional food quality and a delightful guest experience.

These roles also involve maintaining a clean and sanitary workspace at all times, organizing stations, and correctly storing and labeling products. It is essential to ensure that all necessary items are stocked and fresh, to address any allergies or special requests appropriately, and to engage positively in a fast-paced environment.

Some positions may be cross-trained to enhance staffing flexibility, promote team member development, and improve restaurant efficiency.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Inside Expo

  • Effectively read and communicate orders to the team; clearly convey any allergens, special requests, and other specific circumstances to ensure they are accommodated; organize trays and maintain a tidy work area.
Salad Station or Make Station

  • Prepare all salad or sandwich recipes according to specifications; ensure products are at the correct temperature and prepared with optimal quality, considering any allergies or special requests; and cut and prepare products as needed.
Fry Stations

  • Drop, drain, and season chicken or fries; execute recipes and assemble orders; monitor fryers for temperature, oil levels, and quality; safely filter, clean, and replace oil in fryers; and ensure high standards for all items being prepared.
  • May also prep and prepare pickles, mac and cheese, and other items.
Grill Station

  • Butter and grill buns to specifications; season and grill chicken according to standards; and ensure high quality of all items being prepared.
Sauce Preparation

  • Prepare all sauces according to specifications; cup or bag and label all sauces; and ensure proper storage.
  • May also prepare milkshakes following established recipes.
Chicken Breader

  • Prepare all brine, batter, and breading according to specifications; properly trim fat from chicken; and follow recipes and food safety procedures for brining, pounding, and breading chicken.
  • Other related responsibilities as assigned.
All positions are expected to follow through on additional responsibilities as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

EXPERIENCE AND REQUIREMENTS:

Previous experience in a busy kitchen is preferred but not mandatory.
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
Excellent interpersonal skills with a genuine willingness to engage positively with guests and co-workers.
Ability to read and comprehend recipes.
Able to thrive in a high-energy, fast-paced environment.
