As a Customer Engagement Specialist, you will be responsible for:
- Processing financial transactions for clients, entering them into the Bank's software systems, and issuing receipts.
- Adhering to the Bank's security protocols consistently.
- Staying informed about the Bank's check cashing policies and federal regulations to validate checks and cash, as well as scrutinizing documents for essential details.
- Reviewing client accounts to make informed decisions regarding requested transactions.
- Maintaining a balanced cash drawer on a daily basis.
- Promoting TowneBank's products and services effectively.
- Delivering outstanding service to clients in person, over the phone, or via email.
- Exhibiting a professional demeanor and appearance.
- Performing additional branch responsibilities as assigned.
- Complying with all relevant federal laws, rules, and regulations related to Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA).
The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and competencies:
- One year of cash handling and customer service experience with a single employer and/or six months of experience as a bank teller.
- Proficiency in basic computer skills, including Outlook, Excel, Word, and other Microsoft applications. Experience with banking software is a plus.
- Willingness to learn and adapt as new systems or processes are introduced.
- Experience operating a cash register with the ability to maintain a balanced cash drawer.
- Capability to process financial transactions accurately and efficiently.
- Demonstrated ability to provide excellent client service in person, over the phone, and via email.
- Ability to function as a reliable team player.
- Dependability and punctuality, with a commitment to minimizing unplanned absences.
In this role, you can expect to:
- Communicate effectively through spoken word and written correspondence.
- Occasionally exert up to 50 pounds of force, utilize your arms and legs, and remain seated for extended periods.
- Maintain close visual acuity for tasks such as data analysis, computer usage, reading, and document preparation.
- Work in a stable environment with minimal exposure to adverse conditions.
